Welcome to the Raccooniverse / SHSO News

My very first news entry for this site. The web has been abuzz with all variety of Guardians of the Galaxy news since the trailer debuted. Yesterday, we learned that, this summer, Skottie Young will write and draw Rocket Raccoon's very own comic series.

This is something I stumbled upon some days back and earned me a retweet from the company involved. There is a kid-friendly web-based Marvel game called Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. It is specifically designed for kids, but my friend DarkBeast from Marvel Heroes is a big fan. I've checked it out, its simplicity and innocence is somewhat fun and could definitely be a good way to destress. Being the Raccoonatic Commander, though, I had been waiting for a little something before I really considered putting time into that game.

Well, recently a preview of upcoming events was posted for SHSO that piqued the interest of myself and will likely interest all the Raccoonatics out there (who are secure enough in their maturity to play a game like SHSO, of course).

Here is the preview. Do the ol' Ctrl-F and look for "raccoon". I'll post the quote here, too...

"We’re going to continue to bring you awesome heroes. This year is a big year for super hero movies and we’re going to try to get those heroes for you to play with as soon as they come out! (Is that a raccoon skulking around Villainville?)"

That is correct, Raccoonatics, it looks like, at some point in the future, Rocket Raccoon will be joining SHSO's already masssive roster. Incidentally, Gazillion, who makes Marvel Heroes (my main gain of choice) also works on SHSO. And while it is, intentionally, somewhat childish in design, Gazillion's involvement means the game has a respectable feedback/participation connection with the community.
